| In addition to the previous 9 Screwjack Problems listed, the lifts are also slow. This is primarily because the ScrewJack Lift climbs each step twice, in a teeter-totter fashion. First the wheel must climb onto the step...then the toeplate must climb onto the step. | The Escalera StairClimber climbs very efficiently and very quickly. The 1200 lb. capacity unit climbs each step in 5 seconds. Escalera also has higher speed models available, with a very fast 3 second per step climb rate. |
